We’ve had several long exhausting weeks in a row, with another couple of busy ones on the horizon, but we are finally living at the farm. We set up the beds just in time to catch us as we collapsed last night, barely able to put together a coherent word!
The next few weeks will involve unpacking, completing the kitchen and trying to get the yard under control… all in time to celebrate the twin’s SIXTH birthday, if you can believe that!? My babies will be six!
Speaking of kids, we enrolled the munchkins in their new school. Tomorrow will be their first day.
It’s definitely the small town feel revolving around faith and sports. It was refreshing to see the bible verse plaques in the registrar’s office at the elementary school and the school office at the intermediate. Invitations to various VBS schools were extended/suggested to us as a means of meeting people and settling in. They take their sports seriously here so I’m sure we’ll fit right in! We were reminded by many people to watch Kenny Chesney’s “The Boys of Fall” video that was filmed there. State Football Champs in ’74, ‘95, ‘98, ‘99, ‘00 ‘01 ‘05 ’07 and I hear they have a serious baseball and basketball team as well. Lots to look forward to in the coming months and lots of school activities for these three to get into!
